Thanks to some tweets by Hideo Kojima, we’ve got the first new look at some brand new Metal Gear Solid figures coming from both Kaiyodo’s Revoltech line, and Square Enix’s Play Arts Kai line!
While over the past year or so I’ve become a little more hostile towards some of the QC issues that Play Arts Kai has, as well as the often ridiculous proportions (the Raiden below looks ridiculous), it’s still nice to see some MGS love. Newly teased are MGS2 Raiden and MGS Liquid Snake, respectively.

What I’m really excited for is the official announcement of Metal Gear Solid Revoltechs! While I liked my Play Arts Kai figures (before I sold them) I think that Revoltechs suit the characters a lot better by being able to provide more dynamic movement/articulation and accessories. Hopefully we’ll see more Revoltech MGS figures at this Sunday’s Wonder Festival!
